Hennepin County COVID-19 Relief Funds
$200,000 in COVID-19 Relief Funds were distributed in December 2020 to Fosters residing in Hennepin County who have been impacted by COVID-19.
This funding was made possible through federal CARES Act funds distributed by Hennepin County to Connections to Independence (C2i), Foster Advocates, Project for Pride in Living (PPL), and YMCA Twin Cities. Our coalition was excited to provide one-time mutual aid payments of $1,500 to 128 current and former Fosters residing in Hennepin County.
All applicants participated in a survey to assess impacts of COVID-19 on different aspects of their lives. Rainbow Research, an independent evaluation consultant nonprofit, advised on survey design and led analysis. A post-survey to assess the impact of Relief Funds is in progress and a full report will be released later this spring.
