Support Programs That Centers Fosters
Individualized mentoring, resource navigation, and advocacy that help transition-age Fosters build stability.
Our Support Programs launched in 2021 through visioning led by our Education Equity Design group. When the Fostering Independence Grants rolled out in 2022, they removed a major barrier to college, but Fosters made it clear, funding alone isn’t enough.
Since then, we've expanded support statewide to address the everyday challenges transition-age Fosters face—from staying in school to finding stable housing and work.

“When I first connected with Foster Advocates, I was 19 with a one-year-old son and felt powerless. They helped me see that being a Foster is part of my identity—and from that, I found my power.”
